Thomas W. Rieger is a Director at Konrad Fischer Galerie. After studying History of Art, Archaeology, History and City Planning/Urban Design at the Universities of Bonn, Zurich, Berlin and New York, he worked at Museum of Contemporary History in Bonn (Haus der Geschichte), Osthaus Museum in Hagen, and Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. He has lectured on History and Theory of Art and Architecture at RWTH University Aachen.
Among his publications are essays in Prolepsis – The Heidelberg Review of English Studies and in Texte zur Kunst as well as Museutopia (2003) and Thinking Utopia: Steps into Other Worlds (2005), which he co-edited. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Approximation Festival in Düsseldorf, dedicated to New Music, Improvisation and Electronics.
